About us: The Mountain Madness Tournament is Hosted by the Pocono Pride Fast Pitch Softball organization. We are committed to promoting the sport of Fast Pitch Softball and the female athletes that play the game. Our Goal is to provide the best possible playing fields and competitive experience possible for the enjoyment of the participating teams. Your feed back is important to the success and growth of this event. Please remember that the game is for those who play the game and while we all strive to succeed the experience is just as important as the the outcome. Skill and athletic ability are important on the field, but good sportsmanship is a skill that can be used in the game of life. We hope that you enjoy the Mountain Madness Tournament and the hotels, restaurants, attractions and beauty of the Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania. |

| Game
Format: The format for the Mountain Madness Tournament will be 3 Pool Play Games on Saturday to determine seeding for Sunday's Championship rounds. The playing of any or all games will be dependant on weather and playing field conditions. No game will be played if the safety of the players is in doubt. Saturday's Pool Play will consist of 3 games for each team between the 4 teams in each predetermined Pool. Pools will be determined by a random draw process. Seeding for Sunday's Championship play will be determined by PONY rules. Teams will be divided into 8 team Brackets for Sunday's Championship Play. The top 8 seeds will play in the Gold Championship Bracket. the next 8 will be in the Silver Bracket and the final 8 will play in the Bronze Bracket. The winners from each initial Bracket game will advance forward to determine the Bracket Champion, the losers of the second round of Bracket games will play each other for third place. The losers from each initial Bracket game will advance backwards in the same fashion as the winners to determine the 5th place team. All teams will play 3 games in Sunday's Championship rounds. |

Awards: Trophies will be presented to 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place teams. each member of the first and second place teams in the tournament will receive and individual award. MVP awards will be presented to the MVP of all Championship round games immediately following the game. These awards will be determined by the opposing team, this is a good way to acknowledge superior play and promote good sportsmanship. |
